KU Campus Resources

  • Emergency Aid

  • Financial Aid & Scholarships

    This office can help you understand the FAFSA and your financial aid options to help pay your educational and personal expenses while attending the University of Kansas.

  • Jayhawk Finances

    Jayhawk Finances provides coaching sessions, workshops and information on personal financial topics, including: budgeting, saving, credit cards, credit scores, money management, debt management, student loan repayment, etc.

  • Tax Assistance Program

    Each spring, law students from the University of Kansas provide free federal and state tax preparation services to those who qualify through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. To qualify for assistance, you must make less than $56,000 per year and not itemize deductions.

    Unemployment benefits may be available to eligible Kansas residents. Unemployment benefits typically are in the form of weekly payments made to eligible workers who become unemployed through no fault of their own, and meet other eligibility requirements.

  • Lawrence Family Support Center

    The Lawrence Family Support Center is available to low-income individuals and families who need food, or assistance with basic utility payments, housing, clothing or medical prescriptions. All services are free and are based on need. The center also offers free financial education and tax preparation.
